LEADERSHIP MODEL

The Drake Academy of Excellence understands that success is determined by the ability of leaders to bring out the best in everyone and to help all members experience high levels of success. 

With advice and reflection, we have defined three imperative principles that we believe are the foundation to effective leadership and thriving schools. These principles have been the standard we set from day one and are all qualities that we expect from each other. They are our backbone and guide us in our relationships and decision-making. By adhering to these standards and by making them visible in our actions, we believe that we will have a significant positive impact on our students, their families, our staff, and community.

This model is largely based on the leadership principles studied and practiced by our staff and taught by John Maxwell, Coach John Wooden, Simon Sinek, and Peter Drucker, among many others.
